Dunlop Tyres not associated with Dunlop companies in recent Constitutional Court ruling 

 

Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (Pty) Ltd (SRSA), manufacturer of the Dunlop, Sumitomo and Falken tyre brands, wishes to confirm that they do not own, nor have any association with the companies listed in the Constitutional Court of South Africa’s case between National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa OBO Khanyile Nganezi and others versus Dunlop Mixing and Technical Services (Pty) Limited and Others (CCT 202/18) (28 June 2019).

 

In respect of recent media coverage, Sumitomo Rubber South Africa wishes to point out that the information supplied in the coverage is incorrect. The Constitutional Court ruling refers to Dunlop Mixing and Technical Services (PTY) Ltd; Dunlop Belting Products (PTY) Ltd and Dunlop Industrial Hose (PTY) Ltd. For further information please view the full judgement here: http://www.saflii.org/za/cases/ZACC/2019/25.html
