Gilbarco Veeder-Root’s “Shift-Forward” Innovation Day

 

Gilbarco Veeder-Root (GVR), a global provider of fuel & fleet management solutions, hosted its annual Shift-Forward Innovation Days in Bryanston, South Africa in May, showcasing cradle to grave management solutions for customers in sectors dependent on fuel to run their operations. Day 1 highlighted the downstream aspect of the Fuel Retail value chain, whilst Day 2 focused on solutions supporting the commercial, mining and transportation industries. 

 

The live experience centre provided customers with a chance to engage with comprehensive solutions for the on-site automation, storage, dispensing, recording and reporting of fuel and related fleet activities and how those solutions can be tailored to meet the specific customer needs. GVR creates a seamless customer experience through enhanced fuel and fleet management solutions coupled with valuable after sales service, including near-real time reporting, clean fuel technology, and Diesel Rebate tax advisory services. The end-to-end automated system incorporates several specialized GVR solution components, ensuring control and visibility across a customer’s fuel and fleet operations. 

 

The mobile tank application solution is a measurement technology solution for continuous monitoring of liquid products, which solves the challenge of reconciling fuel on the move. GVR’s cloud-based platform dataFLEX360, integrates data from external platforms and manual inputs to produce automated operational reports reflecting machine deviations and exceptions, fuel stock and daily fuel usage reports.

Innovative solutions developed to solve challenges related to fuel lost through fraudulent activities and inefficient re-fueling operations as well as inaccurate reporting.

 

The reporting capabilities demonstrated by dataFLEX360 provides real time insights that enable businesses to scale efficiencies and supplements GVR’s diesel rebate strategic solutions. With the assistance of in-house indirect tax and mining experts, GVR makes light work of fulfilling the South African Revenue Service diesel rebate logbook reporting requirements.
