Lightstone recognises top Motor Body Repairers in 2021
Lightstone Auto’s annual Echo MBR Ranking Awards celebrates Motor Body Repairers who have achieved excellence in customer service, as rated by the public
In 2017 Lightstone Auto launched the annual EchoMBR Ranking Awards to recognise highlighting the top Motor Body Repairers (MBR) in South Africa, based on data collected through actual customer feedback. Lightstone is pleased to announce the top MBRs for 2021. Giorgio Express Auto Body Repairs located in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal has been recognised as the Top Overall MBR in the country. The second and third spots went to Auto Trust Body Repairs and SMG Tygervalley Approved Repair Centre respectively.
In 2021, Lightstone conducted 85 764 customer interviews and this year 702 qualified for the awards. “Lightstone applies the advanced Bayesian statistical method and multi-level models to not only identify the MBRs that perform well, but in fact those that are most likely to perform well,” says Bernard De Vantier-Strydom, Head of Projects and Research at Lightstone.
The results of the EchoMBR Ranking allow the MBR industry to view their businesses through the eyes of their customers and creates an industry standard where customers’ expectations are met and continuously improved. “As the EchoMBR Ranking uses this predictive model, those at the top are recognised as consistently scoring high with their customers. These results provide the South African consumer with trustworthy choices during an inherently difficult period after a motor accident and we are proud to continue this annual recognition” comments De Vantier-Strydom.
Apart from the Overall National MBR of the Year, the awards categories also recognise specific achievements, informed by customer feedback. These include:
Most likely to be ready on time
Most likely to offer quality repair
Most likely to keep you informed
Most likely to be recommended
Friendliest staff
Top performers nationally and by province
“We understand the challenges that the MBR industry has faced over the past couple of years and it is now more than ever before, important to celebrate the MBRs that have continued to provide world-class customer service despite the complex times we live in” concludes De Vantier-Strydom.
