Peugeot supports Technical Students at Carel de Wet Technical High School
Peugeot Citroën South Africa has announced their support of young Technical students at the Carel de Wet Technical Training school situated in Vanderbijlpark with a donation of a number of items which will assist students with hands-on, practical experience.
The items included Automatic and Manual Gearboxes, Engine Blocks, Crank Shaft and Brace to the value of over R700 000.00. Chairs and various other items were also donated.
“After investigating numerous options, the Carel de Wet Technical School was selected as they offer career orientated education to their learners.
“After visiting the school, we were convinced that this was the establishment we wanted to collaborate with.” said Tony Minnie, Head of Aftersales, Training, Quality Parts and Service.
As a company Peugeot Citroën South Africa believe that improving the quality of education training and technology will help our youth in achieving sustainable development and assist them in becoming capable, self-sufficient and independent automotive technicians.
“Our aim is to transform challenges and concerns into solutions and real opportunities” Minnie said. “No matter how big or small, all donations make a difference.
“Giving back is important to us. We hope that our continued support of the Technical school will contribute towards a better and brighter future for those less fortunate.”
