Solera Audatex empowers over 600 trainees in SA’s automotive repair industry
Solera Audatex, a global leader in vehicle lifecycle management, has reached a significant milestone in its growth and impact on the South African market. In 2024, the company invested in upskilling the South African automotive repair industry and trained 569 students on-site and an additional 112 students through its online platform, Solera University.
Following enhancements to its in-person training programme, including the introduction of live vehicle repair demonstrations, trainee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with trainees sharing that, “The best part of the training was having car parts at the training centre and putting theory into practice, allowing us to see different steps of the repair process and painting.” Jermaine Davids, the Southern Africa Claims Director and Chairman of the SA Employee Trust at Solera Audatex South Africa shared, “We are pleased with the success of our training programmes, achieving an impressive 9.9 NPS. But we’re not stopping there we’re committed to taking the training experience to the next level”
As part of its commitment to industry-leading innovation, Solera Audatex’s extensive vehicle database grew significantly, with 31 new vehicle models added, including the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro & Tiggo 4 Pro, Haval H6 GT, Ford Mustang, Mahindra XUV & 3X0, Jeep Compass, ORA 3, Toyota Vitz and the Mini Countryman. The company also delivered 48 successful data updates, further enhancing the accuracy and reliability of its repair assessments.
Davids adds that, “Our advanced analytics tools deliver in-depth reporting for approximately eight unique customer segments, providing critical data on parts movement, mutation trends, assessment breakdowns (parts, labor, and paint), and write-off insights and much more. Our data empowers customers to stay ahead of the curve.”
Solera Audatex is championing sustainability in the automotive repair industry by increasing access to green parts through its network, which offer substantial cost and environmental benefits. Green parts provide up to 22% savings over new parts, and sourcing time is reduced by 70%, making them a win-win for both the environment and businesses. “With over 100 reports distributed monthly, we equip our clients with the clarity and control they need to proactively manage their business, optimise costs, enhance efficiency, and improve decision-making,” says Davids.
Solera Audatex South Africa extends beyond technology - it is also strengthening its market presence through strategic partnerships and transformation initiatives. In 2024, the company achieved a Level 3 BEE Certification, demonstrating its commitment to inclusive growth and supplier diversity.
