Tenneco’s “4T” (Tenneco Train the Trainers) programme has seen its 360,000th trainee complete the programme in under ten years of its existence. In all, the company’s 4T Master Trainer Team from EMEA added another 11,363 trainees in 2016.
Since its debut in 2007, Tenneco has trained automotive service professionals through its 4T program in areas such as ride performance, Clean Air and soft skills including sales and negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
“The 4T training programme has grown substantially as more and more parts distributors and workshop professionals are introduced to the value provided through our broad curriculum of technical training workshops,” said Bruce Ronning, vice president and general manager, Europe Aftermarket, Tenneco. “This new milestone further illustrates the value that our trade partners derive from 4T and other Tenneco training initiatives.”
The most popular training sessions across all regions were primarily technical, with ride performance sessions accounting for 793 during the year. Most of the rest came from Clean Air (75), combined Clean Air/ride performance (46), DPF (41) and combined Clean Air/DPF (36) sessions.
The 4T programme forms part of Tenneco's commitment to keeping its customers up to date on diagnostic and repair information, providing aftermarket support in the form of TADIS (Technician’s Advanced Digital Information System), fitting instructions and technical bulletins, Techline telephone-based technical support and comprehensive product catalogues for its Monroe® and Walker® brands. These catalogues – which can be found online at MonroeCatalogue.eu and WalkerCatalogue.eu, respectively – include 360° images of products designed to ensure fast, accurate parts identification.
